If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Little Italy in New York City, make sure to stop by La Bella Ferrara, a delightful bakery that serves as a sweet escape for both locals and visitors. Nestled at 108 Mulberry St, this charming establishment captures the essence of authentic Italian pastry-making, blending tradition with an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit special.

Stepping through the door, you're greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked pastries and brewing coffee. The warm, welcoming staff instantly make you feel at home, and the delightful selection of baked goods makes rushing out almost impossible. With goodies like the buttery Plain Croissant and the indulgent Chocolate Croissant, priced at $3.50 and $4.50 respectively, you’re sure to find a reason to linger. Don’t miss the Danish or their mouthwatering Muffins, each bursting with flavor.

But what truly sets La Bella Ferrara apart is their exquisite variety of desserts. Frequent customers rave about their cannoli, which, according to Julia Assis, may just be "the BEST" you've ever tasted. The crisp shells perfectly balance with the fresh fillings, ensuring that every bite is a memorable one. And if you’re in the mood for something more decadent, the rich tiramisu and luscious chocolate mousse keep customers coming back for more, as noted by Alan A, who praised the cannoli as “EXCELLENT!”

Vegetarians and dessert aficionados will especially adore the array of puddings, with options ranging from Olive Oil Cake to the tropical Pineapple Pudding, both available for around $5.50 to $6.50. Each dessert is a work of art, served in generous portions that encourage sampling, sharing, and the inevitable sweet coma Janet Brown humorously describes after her visit.

The friendly, knowledgeable staff, including Frank's goddaughter Liz Grazioso, has transformed this little gem since the early '90s, earning a loyal local clientele eager to experience a slice of nostalgia in their pastries. With praise from customers highlighting that La Bella Ferrara is one of the top bakeries downtown, it’s clear there’s something magical about this spot. John T mentions how every visit is filled with delicious treats, and Jessica Yang points out the not-to-miss rainbow cookies—a treat that feels like a colorful celebration of flavors.

Whether you're in search of a quick pick-me-up with their smooth coffee selections, or planning a leisurely afternoon sampling their array of desserts, La Bella Ferrara is more than just a bakery; it’s a cherished experience that delights every sense. So grab a pastry, sip a hot Latte or Cappuccino, and savor the moment in this delightful corner of New York City. You won't regret indulging in an authentic Italian pastry adventure!

I had the BEST cannolis and ice cream ever. Seriously. The service was also great, everyone was really nice. Totally worth going to.

We picked up and took away. Service: for a busy counter I couldn’t believe how warm and friendly they were. Food: we had a sampling of cannolis and tiramisu and chocolate mousse. Also grabbed some rainbow cake. The cannolis were EXCELLENT! The chocolate dipped ones held their crunch longer. Either would have been crunchy had we eaten them sooner. We kept them cold but it was about four hours before we got to them. We all had a favorite but I’ll leave you to find yours. The Tiramisu was delicious - was it best ever, no. Would I order again oh yeah! Chocolate mousse was like the Tiramisu. The cannolis on the other hand would make Tony Soprano want to protect that joint.

We visited this bakery at the end of a tour (Mafia Tour) we took. This place was amazing and the portions were very generous. I wanted to stay there for hours, sampling everything they offered and then fall into a sugary coma. I was traveling with two family members so we shared with each other and then left with a box of mini cannolis which stayed fresh in our hotel. mini fridge for a few days. Thank you for being one of our favorite highlights from our trip to NYC.

This place is an excellent dessert place! I love everything tiramisu here especially the ice cream because it has so much depth and different sweet and a mild bitter tone. The owners are also super friendly and welcoming I highly recommend visiting here!!

One of the top 3 bakeries downtown. Operated by Frank’s god daughter Liz Grazioso since the early 90’s. So much love & joy once you walk through the doors. One of the few authentic Italian pastry shops remaining on Mulberry st. The locals frequent this spot since the 80’s. Across the street use to be Cha’s Cha’s where the old school Italianos would go for drinks. I enjoy this nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the J. Gotti era ????????????????. The neighborhood kids would run up & down Canal Street shouting “fireworks fireworks” to the Jersey boys coming thru the Holland Tunnel. A TRUE ICON on Mulberry St.

Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Small shop with a fantastic selection of cake and pastries. The cannoli is top tier. The shells are crisp and the fillings are fresh. There is a variety of flavors which is so fun. And they are taaaaaasty. I wanted to buy more, but they are expensive. I would come and indulge much more frequently if they weren't so expensive. The rainbow cookies are suuuuuuper good. Perfect ratios. There is very limited seating indoors and outdoors. Very cute to sit at the table outside.
